SPECTACULAR SIGHTS
One of the interesting things that can happen while on one of our Road to Hana Tours
is when we get to witness some of the magnificent wildlife of Maui.
During whale season, one of the awe-inspiring sights to see is the
majestic Humpback Whales jumping. They are growing at an average rate of
7% a year and are doing so well, in fact, that there’s been talk of
them being taking off the endangered species list. Over 12,000 humpback
whales are expected in the Hawaiian waters this season alone. Hearing
the Humpback Whale is a truly extraordinary experience (and we reveal
the secret of this technique during the course of our legendary Maui
tours!).

SPECTACULAR SIGHTS |
Another exciting wonder to witness, and of our rarest sightings, is the Hawaiian Monk Seal. Occasionally on our Maui sightseeing tours,
as we are leaving Lahaina, something very special occurs. There are a
couple of beaches where Hawaiian Monk Seals love to hang out and
sunbathe. The Hawaiian Monk Seal is indigenous to the Hawaiian waters
and their top predator is the Tiger Shark. Because of this, there are
only roughly 600 left in the entire world. On many occasions, there is
one particular seal that repeatedly likes to hang out and sunbathe along
several of the beaches along the Lahaina Highway. On several of our Maui Tours Hawaii,
traffic will get thick because everyone is slowing down to catch a
glimpse of this wondrous sight and it is not that uncommon for her to
cause a traffic jam on the way in or out of Lahaina. This is such a rare
sight that people slow down or stop in the middle of the road read more...
